Slaw with Julienned Apple

This slaw tastes better the longer it sits together, even overnight.

Step 1: In a bowl large enough to hold all the ingredients whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, sugar, caraway seeds, salt and pepper.


Step 2: Add the cabbage, carrot, apple, and scallions and toss until all the ingredients are coated with the dressing. Cover and refrigerate.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon caraway seeds
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • ½ head savoy cabbabe, thinly sliced
  • 1 small carrot, shredded
  • 1 gala apple, julienned
  • 1 bunch scallions, white and green parts, thinly sliced
